Ginny Thompson

GINNY When I grow up I would like to be as present as Ginny. It was hard to pin down an adjective to describe the attribute I want to express. Just like each friend I’ve already posted about, it feels impossible to choose one feature. I do know that Ginny is present where she is. She’ll be screaming a song with me in the car 100%, she is engaged in any conversation 100%, and she is 100% there when I hoax her into my Christmas in summer type of plans. I never feel dumb expressing my feelings and thoughts with Ginny. She’s is fully present and empathetic. I hope when I grow up that friends and strangers feel as safe with me as I feel safe with Ginny. That I put down my phone, pour my coffee for two, and sit down to be fully present in any conversation - ranging from philosophy, Jane Austen, dating, H20, history, education, and every thing under the sun. May I grow to be present where I am, 100% there. 100% engaged. 100% there for it, just like Genevieve.
