LANIE + WESTON | WINTER WEDDING | THE COUNTRY PLACE

“If we’d had only had enough to hire Emily in our wedding budget, we would have spent it on just her.

No, seriously.

From the time we got engaged to the time we were married, she learned us and loved us so well — and you can see it in every photo. She captured the very essence of who we are and what our love is (which means there weren’t too many serious poses). When I looked back on our wedding photos, she didn’t miss out on capturing a single detail, because she knew all the things that mattered the most to me.

Emily was our photographer, but I found myself carting her along to all of our venue visits and running every last detail by her, because she just GOT me. By the time our wedding night came around, I found myself wishing she could just be one of our best friends breaking down the dance floor instead of having to run around photographing the reception (spoiler alert: very glad she did).

Wedding days — and the months or years you spend planning them — go by so quickly, and what you’re left with at the end of the night are the most important things: your marriage and the memories you made celebrating it. I can’t imagine anyone but Emily Frazier documenting those memories alongside us. “
