Erin + Baylor | Bedford, Virginia

I had the absolute honor of photographing my friend Erin’s wedding this summer. We have talked about this day for years. What her dress would look like, who the man waiting for her at the alter would be, and just how much fun we would all have. I remember when she told me she wanted me to be her photographer (years ago!) I was just starting out, terrified to have the responsibility to capture such an important day in my friend’s life. As years past, its become my full time job to photograph weddings, and when Erin called me for real this time, I squeaked for joy. Day of, I couldn’t imagine anyone else photographing the day. It felt just right.

I got to spend the whole weekend getting to meet Baylor and watch him and Erin together. it was wonderful. I’m just so happy for them. I have such a soft spot for flower crowns and mountains, so not only were the subjects of this wedding my dream, the details and location were out of this world. I keep saying I’m just so freakin honored to have photographed this wedding, but its so true. We ran around fields, ate donuts, and the rain held off!! Such blessings. Erin and Baylor chose not to see each other prior to the ceremony, but they did met each other on the top of a hill, back to back, to pray together about an hour out from “I do.” It was so beautiful. They were prayed over by their best friends, and met each other at the alter to join hands for life. We ate, danced, and conversed all night.
