Portraits on the Streets of Phoenix

Portraits on the Streets of Phoenix

These photos were taken during the filming of a Docu-Series with Voices for the Voiceless. We interviewed strangers on the streets of Phoenix, Arizona as well as 4 other main cities in the West Coast. I was given a few moments after each interview to take their portrait. It was important to me, that despite the time constraint, I made them feel comfortable, and captured each person uniquely to them. I didn’t always ask them to smile, or even pose them- I only filled in the gaps when they didn’t know what to do. I am not allowed to use their names, or tell their powerful stories in the post. To hear their words, check out: https://www.instagram.com/_vftv/ . I am so thankful to have met each of them, and that they gave us their time on this hot hot day in Phoenix, Arizona.
